I promise you. One day, this guy I know (he's not really my friend, but he's a nice guy who really has good insight and morals) was telling me about music before MTV screwed it up (don't flame me about MTV being good. It just stays in business because sinful topics sell better than ones that have a meaning. *Points to a Newsboys CD that has 90,000 sells, and then to a Katy Perry one that has millions.)
Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that popularity is one of the reasons humans have issues. Junk by a famous person gets more views than a Scratch gem made by a non-famous person gets.
Other reasons society fails:
Rich countries take everything for granted. People say that poor countries are locked out of the world, but it's really us who's locked out of the world because of how selfish we are.
Cursing- apparently we're too dumb to come up with other words.
Sunday Christians (Come out of church and their eyes are dry.)
Racism. I'm going to give a shoutout to Tay Zonday. Lots of people see his song Chocolate Rain as just a funny internet meme, but it is really Martin Luther King talking through the music.
Stereotypes- this sort of goes with racism, but I'm also talking about blondes being dumb, red heads being short tempered, etc.
War- My friend once wrote a poem. I loved this poem. I forget how it went exactly, but it went something like this:
Roar says the lion.
Moooo says the cow.
Meow says the cat.
Woof says the dog.
Eat says the shark.
WAR! Cries the human.
Even the animals know better....
How embarrasing.
What if everyone cared?
What if everybody did something nice?
Would earth be the same?
Heck no.
Go do something nice.
EDIT: Whether you're Christian or not, the golden rule and any other rule in there (that doesn't have to do with God if you're an athiest or a polythiestic religion) should be incorporated into life.

This is incredibly true, but what does "Sunday Christians" mean when you say it?

Offline
The word is horrible, people are mean, wars are bad, don't do drugs, music is badly influential-
You get used to it. The world isn't going to go through some sort of nice revolution, and you're going to have to go through some things you'd prefer not to. Its just how the world is.

Comes out of church and isn't a Christian anymore.
A good song to listen to about it is the altar and the door by Casting Crowns.

This world can still be made better...

It can. But will it? Probably not.

This world will get better. Little things count. I'm not asking you to stop the war in Afghanistan. If you help out someone hurt, that counts. Little things collect.

and also when people spam it up on the fourms for a project with enough views already and just bump every ten mins... It ruins other people chances for front pages and for more views...
I remember an epic project that was just posted on the fourms, then some person(no names) bumps it and it gets knocked off. I found it so good i recomended it to be featured. It just isnt right.

<---Agnostic
I disagree with you on a few things because it all seems a bit biased
But I will not elaborate, I have a render farm to set up

Biased? how?

Well, for starters,
"don't flame me about MTV being good. It just stays in business because sinful topics sell better than ones that have a meaning. *Points to a Newsboys CD that has 90,000 sells, and then to a Katy Perry one that has millions"
To me, newsboys doesn't really have a meaning, and katy perry is just a singer, how is that sinning?
It's based too much on Christian outlooks

I'm Catholic. Technically. (Though if I had a choice, I wouldn't be any religion at all.)
But I agree with Blade. This does appear to be written from a somewhat biased point of view.

I know very little about the war at all, but from how it seems, the war has nothing to do with the world becoming a better place. At least, not fighting- I mean, how does killing people to a point where their government finally gives up a war make the world any better of a place? If anything, its worse. It just makes America better, not the world.

If Christians followed Christian rules 24/7, the world would be SO much better.

Since you are agnostic, I doubt you have even listened to the Newsboys.

No, but I have looked up the lyrics. Not really that meaningful to me. It's just singing about their idea of god, which wouldn't really be a worthwhile message to non christians, because it's based on christian values

Well, my main point is that non christian or not, it is more meaningful than Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and other garbage that just sing about a 'good time' if you know what I'm talking about....

Cursing basically proves that humans are too dumb to come up with less intense words to use.
And finding it hard to respond appropriately proves some of my points.

Also, if humans sinned to get knowledge, then knowledge could be sin, right?

I don't really regard this as a valid explanation :(

I guess so, but it more or less depends on the knowledge they're getting, as that would be two different sins.

You mentioned a few quoting-worthy gems in there.
If anybody has good taste, you'll become the thing you hate

But if we got the knowledge to, say, write songs or make Scratch games, all starting from Adam and Eve and the snake, and the apple, then that would make knowledge a sin?
