Lower the floodcheck length {atleast for new users}

It's annoying how we have to wait 10 DARN MINUTES between posts.

The reason New Scratchers have to wait longer is so that commercial spammers (though I haven't seen any- the Mods do a great job  smile  ) can't spam a lot. There are other reasons too- I just can't think of them right now.

Ooops, I was not very close, sorry I meant this guy.
I'm poopo and other than helping out with the Scratch Design studio I'm jus a normal scratcher.

Actually, the reason was because of a spam attack back in June, and they had to put in these new member restrictions to stop it.

And yes, 10 minutes is a lot to wait, but when you become a Scratcher, it'll be shortened to just 60 seconds. Since you joined in August, you should be upgraded in not too long.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Hi WhatThe3321 as others have said it is to stop spamming and it looks like you have been here for a while. With that said if you continue to follow the Terms of Use and be a helpful member. You'll be a Scratcher in no time.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

10 minutes does seem a little long - maybe it's time we re-visited this.

Perhaps something like 3-5 minutes?
