I noticed I am on the list of people the moderators chose for the moderator elections. But call it a wise decision, call it a poor decision, call it chickening out at the last second, I've decided to drop out, because:
A) I've gotten really nervous now the elections are so close.
B) My internet connection is showing no signs of getting better (on my dad's computer now) and so can only manage a very short time online until it's fixed (which I doubt will happen soon
)
C) There are a slew of much more capable moderators up for the elections than me. I was kinda caught up in the hype near the beginning and acted a bit rashly, and now I think I'm not up to it, or won't take it seriously enough.
So... yeah.
I really hope a moderator sees this before 10:00 PM today.

Although this makes me very sad, I respect the decision.
I guess I'll have to choose a new #1 candidate though.

I, also, must rethink my list..
But, you might want to think some more about this before you make your decision final, though I respect what you do either way. It is your choice, after all. Its very responsible of you to do this, but it might not be necessary. And, if you drop out, you have to wait until the next election.

Yeah, maybe you should think more about this before you do it...
Who will they pick for the new candidate though if you do drop?

I'd call it your decision. You obviously have your reasons, and so I'm not calling it good or bad.

Whatever happens, i respect the decision. It is your life. I hope no one dares contain a cold heart and calls you the things you mentioned. I hope you think this over though!

Sorry to hear you've had a change of heart.
However, the candidates have been chosen, and the ballots have already been printed, so your account name will still appear on the election page. It's important to avoid last minute changes in an election.
Since you have declared that you no longer wish to hold the position of moderator, we will remove your account from the final ranking.
We understand that it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement around the election. But as is the case with any big decision, it's important to consider all the factors before throwing one's hat into the ring. All the same, we're grateful for all you've given the Scratch community, and look forward to your future contributions as a Scratcher. Mods do help a ton - but ultimately it's Scratchers that make Scratch what it is.

I completly respect your opinion.
Hope your internet gets fixed soon!

I forgot that you left, and i voted you as my number one. Please stay as moderator! I'm begging you! Though i barely know you, you seem trustworthy, friendly and supportive! You would make a perfect mod, and your running inspires me.'
Please stay on the elections... i'm begging you.
:')
EDIT: My begging may seem as a disrespect as your opinion, I apologize for that. I'm being selfish i guess... do what YOU want. Tis your life. Do what your heart tells you, and don't let that go.
Good luck.

It's smart to do that, Kiley. When you are a mod you have to spend all your free time on the computer on scratch! (And I doubt that you get much free time now that your connection died.)

That's pretty brave and in a way, you're caring for others.

Sorry to hear about your connection - I hope it's fixed soon. You seemed like a good candidate (just like all the other candidates - voting was kinda hard).
