Re: Make scratch WORK

So... are you trying to use the loudness blocks? They don't work in the Java player.  smile

Retired from Scratch, but just the language itself. Not the forums.

Re: Make scratch WORK

Sorry to hear you're having troubles! It is true that the online player is a bit wonky by comparison to the offline player… but that is because they are written in two completely separate programming languages. The Scratch Team is working on making Scratch and the online player BOTH in Flash, but I'm afraid we'll have to wait for Scratch 2.0 for that.

Are there any other issues you've been having? If you'd like help, just post the problem you're having specifically in the "troubleshooting" forum and it will be solved promptly.

Nice post. I heard about that, but there are some troubles with offline player too.

1. The text glitch:
When there are large scripts, lots of sprites or costumes or backrounds, or lots of text, squeak's memory runs slow. It must be dealt with quickly.
2. Flash blocks:
When you select flash blocks (fast) it slows the script down.
3. Saturation effect:
This glitch doesn't exist anymore, but in the before times this effect didn't really work.
