Well, I'm sure the "set volume to" block has gotten a number of complaints already...I think. It doesn't work online for me. So now I can't mute out part of the sound and just play the punchline, create a cool fade-in, or make a mute button w/o having to restart the sound. Will I just have to make an online/offline detector?

There are many, many problems that occur online. Don't worry, though - it'll all be fixed in Scratch 2.0, when the online player will be able to read the exact same stuff that the project holds.

There's a pretty big difference, and the Scratch Team is working to fix those differences now.
