Internet Troubles

I'm unable to reach the internet for about a week and I suddenly have 64 messages.  This may take a while to clean up.

Oh, and I'll probably be on less often until my internet is fixed, the only reason I can get on now is because I 'stole' my dad's computer for a bit, whose internet works.

If anyone can help, that'd be great.  I'm using Firefox, and whenever I try to open it, it says it's already open but not responding.  I check Windows Task Manager and it says Firefox is not running. Weird.

Re: Internet Troubles

I've encountered the same problem numerous times, though a simple shutdown or battery removal has always done the trick to fix it. I assume you've tried that already?

There lies the problem.  Firefox isn't running.  So there are no programs to close.  It just thinks it's running.

@Telemachus: Yep, tried that.
@wave:  I used IE but it won't connect to the internet.  Firefox will, but it won't open.

Re: Internet Troubles

I don't think it's a problem with the browser then, more likely with your computer or the router. Are you sure wireless connection is enabled?

Hahaha!  Firefox doesn't need to be running for the process to be running!  The processes if there has been an unexpected error will still be there even if the Browser isn't running!  The process and the Task[ are different

You kinda need a working internet browser to install an internet browser.

@ssss:  I've checked every section of Task Manager for a sign of Firefox.  It's not running or a process or anything I can find.  Even when I restart and press Firefox the first time, it says it's already running.

I got a new message from my broken computer: "Operations (not Task) Manager is corrupt or unreadable" This is probably the source of my problems, the corrupted file must be running a non-responding Firefox without putting it up as a process.  I'll get to the bottom of this, count on it.

Re: Internet Troubles

Okay this is the savior to all your problems

First it might be a driver issue. Please tell me, What computer do you have?
(If the computer that you want fixed dosent get internet then put the driver files on a usb)

Second switch to chrome/safari. These are very good browsers. So you should use them, but then agian your choice.
(And put the installer on a usb and install it on your pc)

Anymore questions?

I thought you would have at least that many easy. Hmm. Maybe make more games. I'll tell you something. The more messages you receive the less you read them.

Re: Internet Troubles

Restart
or
uninstall then re-install firefox
or
run "cmd" (without the quotes) and type "ipconfig" hit enter and post what it says
or
use a different browser
or
use a different computer
or
don't use the internet!
