He was referring to the list of candidates, not the voting page.

Here's my response, which should answer any questions that come up as a result of Kileymeister's choice to resign.

How will the voting work?
Which service will be used?
Just some last minute questions

We won't be using any service - the voting system is one developed by the Scratch Team in light of the issues that come up during the TBG election when users were abusing Selectricity's loophole to vote multiple times over.
The voting system will be similar to the SurveyMonkey voting system used in the last TBG election.

Thanks for the quick response.
Will users be able to view the current standings of the election after they have voted or will it be like the first Community Moderator election and hide the results?

I did help beta-test the voting system, and, from what I've seen, the standing results won't be available after voting.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know which voting method will be used to select the elected Moderators? I'm assuming a Borda Count, but I can't be sure.

Yep - you'll be asked to rank the candidates in order, just like the last election. I've seen the new voting system, it's quite nifty.

Blast. Didn't get chosen
Oh well. At least that solves a serious social dilemma for me.
Ok then. Good luck, guys

I haven't heard of that one! We'll just be tallying up the values of the rankings. If you or any other community members find a different method that you think is best for future elections, I encourage you to start a discussion thread. If you make a good argument and there's strong support for this in the community, we'd certainly be open to considering it.

And so it begins . . .
Is it possible to change your vote after submitting? I assume it is not.

Nope, once it is placed, your vote is final.

After voting, if I return to the page it appears I am able to vote again. Does this mean my vote was not properly submitted or has my vote been counted?

You can return to the page, but you can't submit a second vote (you can feel free to try).

It appears that the form allows more than one number one choice. Is this intentional?

It doesn't - after you submit it will tell you that you made a bad choice. Don't worry - when we were testing it out we all came across a similar problem.

Just a question - will Chris and my votes count as one? At the bottom of the voting page, it showed our IPs (in small print) - they were the same. Will only one of our votes be counted? >_<
