Re: Assigned Lunch Tables?!? REALLY?!?!

Lol that sucks
It's just ridiculous
I know a thing or two about evil vice principals
You guys should all sit at different tables, so the whole room is in the wrong place
Or I don't know
Usually stuff like this happens in Recess

We can have any kind of bag, within reason.

Uniform - Um, black blazer, with shoulder pads, even for girls. Normal black trousers, no ski pants or flares; but you can get away with skinny school trousers. I wear skinny trousers. Blouse and clip-on tie worn at all times. Top button must be done up or you may get detention. No extreme hair, no shaved designs. No rose hair clips (popular school fad) and no jewellery except for one ring per hand, one stud per ear, one nose stud. No gloves in school, no caps, no geek glasses and if you wear a jumper it must have the school badge. Some of my friends (Who are in an entirely different class for third period) have managed to sit at my table every day for the past month.

Also, my sister wrote a pursuasive essay on this very subject when she was in seventh grade, too XD
Apparently it wasn't very effective for her

well, for my essay, i used some words that...lets just say that i'll probably get a detention for writing it. i used to just sit anywhere, but now that are actually checking each table every five minutes to see who's there! so it's getting really annoying. i just drew a rather...gruesome picture of my vice principle just for the fun of it.  tongue  i no longer really care that i can't be with my friends, it's just the stupidity of the teachers, and how they actually only to this to make us, kid, miserable.

Listen to Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) , I think you'll like it.

Re: Assigned Lunch Tables?!? REALLY?!?!

try convincing them first, if you can't do that then i find the only way to make them give in is to make every single person disobey the rule.

like in gym class it was super windy and we we're supposed to be playing ultimate frisbee but nobody could catch the frisbee because it kept getting blown of course.

so we all just laid down on the field until the teacher said we could go inside, which was pretty quick now that nobody was doing anything.

its like how teachers go on strike, students could all sit at the wrong tables and all get detention, but if not a single student showed up for detention what could they do, it's everybody.  problem is you'll find that pretty much impossible to organize, considering how many kids are in a whole entire school.

or you could just ignore me, i feel like a bad influence talking like this  tongue

i actually think that would work, even though i don't really care anymore. but i would only have to tell all of the seventh grade. but then when everyone's at detention, and no one shows up during the 7th grade lunch period...what are they going to do? >:)

Besides, although it's not the most fun, it is good exercise.

Re: Assigned Lunch Tables?!? REALLY?!?!

Our school has that rule too, but even though we're like 10/11/12 years old, we still get away with it. If a prefect(usually a noob one-the veterans don't bother) stops us, we give him a look so evil that if looks could kill, he'd have spontaneously combusted. In fact, some prefects actually spontaneously combusted even though looks can't kill. If they persue the matter, we demand the reason. He'll say something like,"The principal says so. Now stop talking back." Then we'll get into an argument, ending with someone raising a certain finger and someone threatening to slay the prefect's entire family. We've never lost an arugment before.

mad  That's not fair at all! That seems like a really pointless rule. Have they ever actually given a good reason as to why the rule even exists?

Then you should definitely write a persuasive letter. At my school, if we thought something was unfair, we even wrote a petition and had people sign it.

Or I guess you could do a boycott sort of thing, where you get everybody in your grade to sit at the wrong lunch table so it would be really hard for the lunchroom moderators to get everybody back to the right lunch table. But you could possibly get in trouble for that if it doesn't work.  tongue
