Scratch

As you may or may not know, the Community Moderator Elections will begin Wednesday night and I have the honor of having been chosen by the Scratch team to be a candidate for moderator.

Alright, I've made a thread about myself as a candidate for community moderator before, but this will be the official thread now that I have been chosen as the Scratch Team, it will also contain my finalized speech.

I have been on the Scratch Forums since early 2008. Despite the fact that I have had a couple periods during which I was inactive, I love the Scratch community and would do all I could to help improve it. This fall I once again decided to run for the position of Scratch Community Moderator and I hope you all consider me as a potential candidate for moderator.

I feel that after my ~3 years on Scratch and the years I matured off the web, that I have become more and more comfortable with responsibility and I would take the role of Community Moderator seriously and use the opportunity it provided to:

                    - Keep the Scratch Forums clean for users of all ages
                    - Prevent flame wars and other controversies that would inevitably lead
                      to hurt and division
                    - Organize the forums and keep them intuitive so all users will benefit
                      from them (move topics)
                    - Partake in discussion with the Scratch Team so I can give my opinion on
                      ways we might make the community a more enjoyable and productive
                      place
                    - Help the users in the community in any way I can so they can learn         
                      from the forums in the same way that I am so grateful to have done
