Old Messages

Have you ever deleted an old message and u just thought, "DARN! What's that girl's username again?" Well with this idea u will never need to think this again.

There would be an area (once you login) at the top bar with home, projects, galleries, support, forums, about, and my stuff. You would be able to view ANY old message u have deleted or currently have in ur "mailbox". It would sort through dates. ex: February 12, 2010: 18 messages that day. You also could view how messages you have ever gotten!

You also could choose whether or not u would like to share how many messages u have, but not whut they all say.

Any more suggestions for this idea? If so PLEEZ comment below! Thankies, Scratchers!  smile

Re: Old Messages

So, sort of like an archive in your email account?
Sounds cool.

Re: Old Messages

This seems like a good idea. Like 12three said, similar to an email's archive. But, I think a while ago the Scratch team was asking for people to delete their messages to ease the load on the site's servers. (some people have a lot. of messages.) I think this would kind of defeat the purpose.  hmm

Re: Old Messages

I never delete messages, so I don't need this. However, something like this would take up so much server space it would be like each message is a little tiny bomb to weaken the server. And then there's 700,000,000,000,000,000,000,001 little bombs.

Thus I have spoken.

Re: Old Messages

Like above posters have mentioned, it would put a lot of stress on the Scratch servers. Even with lots of people deleting their messages as soon as they get them, the server still slows down quite a bit because of the messaging system.
