Peanuts and Zits

Hmm... A bunch of people put Peanuts. I'm not a big fan of that comic- I find it rather depressing and very rarely actually funny. I'm not trying to disrespect your opinion. Rather, I'd like to learn exactly what is is about Peanuts people like so much. Maybe I'll be able to appreciate it more if I know. So, why do you like Peanuts?

It's more subtle humor. You might not understand some of it.
And it's not really depressing, most are upbeat.

It was pretty much the first comic strip I ever read, so nostalgia is part of it.
I think they're pretty funny, for the most part; Even if the comic relief is teasing Charlie Brown about how much of a failure at life he is.. I know, I know, it gets kind of cruel at times, but.. I dunno. Since he accepts it, it kind of makes it okay to joke about in a comic (Though in real life, it's unacceptable), and it is fiction after all..
Also, Snoopy. He's funny.
But I can understand your opinion.

My favorite comic is Dilbert, by far. Followed up by Calvin and Hobbes, and finally On the Fast Track.

I definitely agree about Snoopy. If there was a Snoopy comic strip, with no Charlie Brown, I'd be all for it.
Anyway, thanks rufflebee and soupoftomato for explaining. Soup, I guess I do see the subtle humor in it, it just isn't the type of humor (subtle or not) I like. But... I'm not sure I see the "upbeat" part...
Once again, that's probably just a difference in humor and personality. Thanks guys!

Foxtrot, and Mac King's minute magic comic
They took it out of my newspaper though
I guess they either ran out of tricks, or the recession had to have it cut out
