Flipping through my old pages of projects, showing badly drawn cats with little to no effort taken in, and my horrid games even I'm ashamed to play, today I wondered,"Eh, what can I do about this?" The answer is all too easy. Clean out your projects.
Yes, I'm not crazy. I'm encouraging you guys to get rid of some of that stuff you don't need(or want, for that matter) anymore. For instance, you're making a game and have multiple versions. Get rid of the old ones. You have a piece of art that's ugly. Throw it out. You have an animation gone wrong. Toss it.
It really irritates me when I see someone that has like, 300 projects, only about 10 of them which I think are decent. It'd really help the Scratch community if you trashed some of those old memes, "lol omg look at this pic" slideshows, and etc. Because if we all get rid of something, it'll be easier for other Scratchers to navigate your page. Scratch will have a better reputation of high quality projects, and that means more good Scratchers and a renewed way of thinking.
(But don't forget to keep some so you can see your improvement.)

I actually did this about 3 months ago. Now I only have, like 5 projects XD

If I were to do that, I would have like no projects.

I have alot of projects I don't like, but I remember seeing this project I really liked, but the creator didn't like it very much, so they got rid of it :C

Projects are projects, dude. Some are better than others, but they are all projects.
What the heck?
I was just saying! God.

I think that's true. Get 'em outta here! Usually projects are from past Scratch eras. People used to watch it, and now they're hooked on a different era. Get out the old era! Put in the new one. (Or START a new one.)

Nah. I like my projects equally, they match my history on Scratch. I love history. I don't get rid of history. I see my mistakes to improve on. Sometimes I take something gone wrong and make it better. So, um yeah. I'm not doing that, but it's a pretty okay suggestion.

Oh, I forgot to add that >.>
Yeah, I kept some animations just to see how I've improved.

Yes, there must always be space for improvement. That's how you go from a inspiration filled no talent chum to a kid with a lot of talent, but an inspiration river run dry.

Yeah.....I remember about a year ago. I didn't have any drawing talent, and my ideas for stories where uninspired. I was a total RPGing noob, and didn't really interact with the community. But determination, and seeing how I could improved helped me grow.

Same here, but I like my new projects better. After reading this thread I'm inspired now to go back and improve my really old projects.
*Goes off to flood user page with awesome, improved versions of old projects.*

I may not be proud of them now, but I was when I made them, so I think I'll keep them up.

In some cases, I might toss out the old ones, but, for the most part, I keep the older versions. Sometimes it's easier to figure out the code of a project by looking at it's predecessor (especially in cases where the code gets more complex as the game is worked upon).

Hm. I was thinking about doing that a while ago, but I don't like throwing away my comments.
I guess I'll do it with some.

This is why I keep all of mine.

Yey, some people are actually doing this ^^
And I'm not asking you to do it with all your projects, even one makes a difference.

I do that sometimes.
