Shared projects (a different type of remixing)
I made a project with one of my friends and put it up on his account. I would like to get credit too so I thought about it and figured the best way to solve it was by saying we both did it. I put my name in it saying I helped but most people overlook this. Its on his account while I get no credit for what I did. What I'm proposing is shared projects. People who helped you could send requests via the mailbox and if accepted, the area where the persons screen name would usually show up it would say this project was made by creator1 and creator2. There could also be more than two people on a shared project in case three four five or even more people made it. This way both persons could edit the chat area below their project, change the title name or description, AND both get credit!

This is a great idea! We have been thinking about implementing that for a while. I often wonder how often people will use this. I'm glad to hear you're one of those.

Well, I don't know how often I will use it, but it would have been useful helping my friend make his first project (pieisanumber)

Thanks I have been thinking about this for awhile now and would really like it to become a feature.

I stand corrected. I want the credit I deserve for Hondasledneck21's project, considering I made it while he watched TV. And also pieisanumber has asked for me to teach him too. I would like this, though I do make them mention me in their notes, but this would be better. Like maybe an option as you are sharing that asks for your username and password, but than another spot that says Shared, and asks for the other users username and password. Than, at the bottom where it says the creator (Bluestribute shared it 10 minutes ago), it would say something like:
Bluestribute and pieisanumber shared it 10 minutes ago.

I really like this idea.
Maybe we should even add more things...
What about a complete "co-work" feature?
People should be able of creating a co-work group. A number of members invited by the "starter" of the co-work group. A group would work somehow like the current "companies".
The group "starter"/"leader" is able to create a new "co-work project".
This page should only be visible for the groups members.
Here they should be able to:
- upload/download related files (like images, sounds, sprites...)
- upload/download versions of the project. All previous versions should be available.
- share ideas. (comment-like)
And the leader should be able to
- remove any uploaded additional files (not projects)
- Publish a project when it's finished
Each group should have a main page, open for everyone, showing:
- the users in the group
- the published projects
- some notes (which can be changed by the co-work group leader) telling everyone what's coming next, etc.
This should look like a gallery. Comments on this page are *not* required because it could almost only be used as a chatroom.
When viewing a project created by a group, it should look like a project created by one user, only showing "created by "co-work group name, members: member1, member2, ..."
Things like project notes and title should be changed on the "co-work project" page, by the group's leader.
I know this is a very complicated idea, which is probably very complicated to implement too. However, I think this would be a good improvement for the collaboration on this site - which seems to be the major subject of the Scratch site.

Yes, for example, in one of my projects that will soon be uploaded, I had a friend help me with a small section of the game. I wouldnt want to fully give him 50/50 credit for the project, but I would be happy if I could thank him in a means where everyone could easily see he helped. For now I Implement it into the project, but if you could put it on the website (Maybe under project notes) it would be very helpful.
