Hi, Snap/BYOB team. I recently made a 1s1s called Alonzo's Adventure in BYOB. You can download it here:
Alonzo's Adventure
I would have been able to do more, but the project would have gotten too laggy. I was wondering if in the next BYOB update you could put Turn Turbo Mode on and Turn Turbo Mode off blocks. Thank you, and good luck with BYOB/Snap.

Windows 7. How you live with XP I do not know.I. HATE. XP.
HOW THE #Ë!! CAN YOU SAY THAT!
Seriously, I'm using a Windows XP right now. And there isn't a single other computer I've seen that's faster. It takes 1 SECOND to log on and rarely lags.
And I've *never* gotten a virus (I run Norton scans & updates every time I use the computer)
xp sucks

So before someone scolds us for being off-topic, I'll have my say in it.
Windows XP. Not as fast. Not 64 bit. You shouldn't be saying that the computer is faster anyway because you are talking about the Windows XP OS, and like Fiat500 said, it's usually the guts of the PC that matter when it comes to speed.
True, you are going to see less viruses on XP more and more as the creators of the viruses don't have the number of targets that they used to. Plus, Microsoft has worked out almost all of the security issues in the XP operating system (for the OS, not referring to viruses from other security holes). But, the fact that you have never gotten a viruses could also have to do with Norton (which personally I can't stand).
I have Trend Micro, and it actually runs SO fast that a fingernail growing is faster than it. tee hee.

And I've *never* gotten a virus (I run Norton scans & updates every time I use the computer)It's better than Vista, but not 7. And Mac OS X Snow Leopard beats them all.
Anyway, back on topic. Hmmm, really all I have to say is that BYOB 3 is awesome. Can't think of much more.

iPads, ARE NOT MACS. sorry i sounded like a snob there.
yes they are, they're based off the Mac OS, and are very much like it. They still run the same unix kernel and all.
Sure, unix but iPad runs iOS, which came from Darwin (an old os that was supposed to be on the Newton, google it) and that came from Mac OS, the first 1 that didnt use unix. (i got pretty much 90% of that on wikipedia) HOWEVER. YOU ARE RIGHT THAT iOS USES UNIX.

Wait, didn't I already argue you out of this last time around? Take a computer built for XP and run Vista or 7 on it and watch what happens.
It would epically fail. BUT, thats for another reason. The CPU (processor) just can't handle 7 because of its 64 bitness and better graphics. Vista on the other hand, is horrible and would crash within 10 seconds. It's just TOO SLOW.

BYOB is always 1 step ahead of scratch
scratch 1.4 - byob 2.0
scratch 2.0 - Byob 3.0
with all the cool new features BYOB Will soon become a pros language for experimentisationIf they went 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, and so on, BYOB for Scratch 2.0 would be 8.0.
Yeah but they are skipping to 2.0

THIS LINK WILL WORK!!!!
I got the same 404 error, and so I went back to your original link and control-clicked it, and chose "save as," and then it worked! It's just regular clicking on it that failed.
Your old version was better for me than the new one -- I have a Mac at home (but don't let's start arguing about computers).
You really like LAUNCH! I haven't yet looked into it much more than that, but I will. Thanks.

I no can't use the Prism forums for politics, as I'm not a member anymore. Sorry.
Do you have Palringo? I could create a group there...

(pause as I read their web site...) Oh great, all I need, chats on my phone. I think you have me confused with a young person.
As you pointed out recently in a different context, I do have an email address for you. We could solve this problem the straightforward way...
(P.S. How come Palringo is okay but not Skype? )

That's odd. It was working a day ago for me. Now it doesn't

The launch block really helps in making 1s 1s because you can launch a forever loop.
BTW A glitch I found while making this is that if you press pause, the launched scripts won't pause.

Thanks for the bug report; we'll look into it.
Hmm, you don't think using launch and then claiming "one script" is cheating? Those things you launched are scripts, I'd say.

(1s1s)s are fast because there aren't as many ScratchProcesses to, um, process.
Using the LAUNCH block starts a new process, so it isn't as effective.

We picked a different extension (.ypr) for BYOB projects so that you can have Scratch and BYOB both installed on your computer and they won't get in each other's way.
Very smart. I have both. No, wait I have Panther too.

Guys, I was wondering if I could join the team. I do have experience in Scratch mods (I've made but not posted 2 ) and BYOB is really a great program. Thanks!
