YipYap: Social Networking For Kids---WORK IN PROGRESS!
I am going to start working on a website. (Trying to spend as little money, and get as little software as possible).
It's called YipYap. It's like a Facebook/Twitter made for kids and teens.
Here's the registration fill out:

Password:
Birth Month:
Birth Year:
E-Mail (E-mail of parent or guardian if under 13):
Gender:
Country:
State/Province (optional):
City (optional):
What do you think of it? What should I add?
Now to your profile. Like Facebook, you have a "wall" that you post on, and other people will comment on.
There will be a "personality" section. With some information.
What's in the users personality section.
-Me, Myself, and I: Says some basic stuff about the user
(example: I am the man who needs no introduction, sanddude. Hardcore Gorillaz fanboy. Loves having fun, well duh, everybody does.)
-What's on the bookshelf: The users favorite books and
authors.
-What's on the tube?: The users favorite television shows and channels.
-What's on the big screen: The users favorite movies.
-What's blares out the stereo: The users favorite songs, bands, and music gneres.
-What's in my browser history: The users favorite websites.
-Check me out on: Links to the users profiles on other sites.
The site will be a safe, fun place. Moderators will be everywhere (once the site launches, and gets popular) and administrators will be on often.
Rules are:
-Be nice: If you make fun of someone and the person
is actually laughing back, than it's one thing. But if feelings are hurt, than stop.
-Be appropriate: Don't use any more than mild profanity. Keep all discussion of violence, alcohol, and other edgy topics, mild enough that it won't spark offense.
-Keep links the same: Don't post links to sites that are inappropriate or contain something that could harm someone's computer.
-Help out: If there is a post that seems to be
disobeying those rules, click the report button, under the post.
-HAVE FUN!
Well, that's it for now. Please tell me (if you know) how I could program this site. (No flash, please, but Java's okay) Also, give me suggestions on how I could improve the site.
Would you become a user of the site, when it launches?

Also, certain information will be displayed publicly on your wall.
This information is whether you're a kid or teen, male or female, and the country you live in.
Some information can be chosen to be displayed or not, like your age, and state and city (if given).

Sure.
I'd add you to the list, but it's too much of a hassle, because I'm on my iPod touch.
A new rule: Keep all personal info private. Don't share your street address, E-mail adress, full name, or phone number.

I have some questions:
1. Will everything you post be public?
2. Will you have friend lists?
3. Will you be able to upload images?
4. Will there be games, or is it just chatting?
5. Is there 'friends list'?
6. Is it free?

But the title is YIp Yap anyway. Or, you could call it chitchat.com xD

Oh, and you could also make it so that private messages are monitored so that no one sends threats, emails, addresses, password, or any personal info that can't be shared on the site 
PS: Java tutorials are on youtube if you need them.
