I know I'm probably not the first person to say this, but why did Scratch 1.4 have show/hide variable blocks and not show/hide list blocks? I know it's possible to create, because I've seen nXIII's code for it (and used it to create the blocks myself. However, these blocks don't work online, so they're more or less useless.
Anyway, that's something we NEED to have in Scratch 2.0.

Yeah... we all expected those blocks to come in Scratch 1.4, but they didn't.
Those blocks will be in Scratch 2.0 though.

That's a very strong thing to say. But you won't have to worry - the Scratch Team has actually said that they'll put those blocks in Scratch 2.0.

Have I missed something? Why are we calling it Scratch 2.0 now? I thought it was going to be called Scratch 1.5.

I believe because scratch 2.0 project builder is going to be online, and it's going to be a big change, so they created a new number.

the scratch team said themselves that it is already being implemented in Scratch 2.

Oh, hi again martianshark!
The next version will be 2.0, since it'll be a big change - oh, read about it in the Scratch Wiki article.

this should be closed, as the scratch team has already planned to add this function.
