Best practice for making a free game?

Hi everbody.

I'm in the process of making my first game, and have been watching and reading in this forum. My question is: is there some software that can help me making these small free games?

Thx

The Scratch program (which is associated with this forums  tongue ) can help you with designing free games. The download for Scratch is found at the bottom of the page.  smile

Or are you looking for a software other than Scratch?

There is plenty of software that helps you make games, but I can assure you, Scratch is by far the easiest and the best.

Wrong. Stencyl is way better, but scratch is the easiest.

If you're looking for something actually capable of transparency and other things, sign up for stencyl.

Re: Best practice for making a free game?

I am assuming you either thought that this was just a games website or were wondering if there are any extra programs to help you.
This whole site is based on and made for what is probably the easiest and most fun program for making games, scratch.

If you were looking for things based on scratch that will help you with your project there are things called mods that are programs based on scratch but with more things a user has put in, try something like streak.
