I think what would be cool if you could organize your Friends List with customizable categories (e.g. "Friends" "Acquaintances" "Family") and it would be changed to "Users I like".

It would be a nifty idea of there was a way to organize friends into some kind of group (dA has something like this too. Right now I'm way too lazy to take screenshots of this). A "User I Like" list would be awesome for the userpage. smile

This looks pretty good to me! There are people whose projects I'd want to follow but I wouldn't consider my friends, so that could allow for both.

This is a fabulous suggestion - the current friend system is kind of strange. There just isn't any real point to it, and you can't do terribly much.
