Chat

Scratch, I think we need a chat thing so we don't have to talk by commenting. If you could do it that would be great!

Re: Chat

You're not supposed to chat in comments in the first place
If you want to create a chat room, go ahead,. but the Scratch team is currently against those because all of the unofficial ones were horribly moderated

Re: Chat

This goes in Scratch->Suggestions

not in requests

I think they should stick to no chat for now... if you guys want to chat, make your own chat box or somethin...

Re: Chat

hello all,

what i really think is that a good live chat software can add more to the beauty of 'scratch'. that's like a mouth piece to the page. more thoughts on this are welcome!

Re: Chat

That may work, like people would have to be signed in, and a moderator can monitor everything.

The forums are hard enough to moderate. Chat rooms would be a nightmare, and they deviate from the main point of Scratch. Miscellaneous wasn't even originally intended for non-Scratch discussion, but that's what it turned into.

Re: Chat

Yes, that's a shame about miscellaneous
But I don't see any rules being enforced about those twitter topics

Re: Chat

The current position on chat capability is described here.  It's not something that we feel that we can support, sorry.
