Recipe for a Region

Basically what pokemon every region needs. Good for if you are making a fakedex.

1. Starters! You know the drill: Grass, fire and water.
Gen 1: Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle
Gen 2: Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile
Gen 3: Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip
Gen 4: Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup
Gen 5: Tsutarja, Pokabu and Mijumaru
Drano: Birdleef, Flarunt and Iqua

2. Regional Rodent! Basically a rodent that appears in the very first routes.
Gen 1: Rattata
Gen 2: Sentret
Gen 3: Zigzagoon
Gen 4: Bidoof
Gen 5: Minezumi
Drano: Gophole

3. Regional Bird! Basically a bird that appears in the very first routes.
Gen 1: Pidgey
Gen 2: Hoothoot
Gen 3: Taillow
Gen 4: Starly
Gen 5: Mamepato
Drano: Sapsuk

4. Regional Fish! A fish that almost always appears when fishing.
Gen 1: Goldeen
Gen 2: Remorade
Gen 3: Barboach or Feebas
Gen 4: Magikarp
Gen 5: Basurao
Drano: Troufin

5. Regional Bug! Some bug that always pops up.
Gen 1: Weedle or Caterpie
Gen 2: Spinarak
Gen 3: Wurmple
Gen 4: Burmy or Wurmple
Gen 5: Kurumiru
Drano: Glurm or Dirtworm

6. Gross Normlly Posion thing. Sounds weird, but every region has one.
Gen 1: Grimer
Gen 2: Gulpin
Gen 3: Slugma
Gen 4: Stunky
Gen 5: Yabakuron
Drano: Goopaint or Carbomb

7. Main Legandary:
Gen 1: Mewtwo
Gen 2: Lugia or Ho-oh
Gen 3: Groudon or Kyogre
Gen 4: Dialga or Palkia
Gen 5: Zekrom or Reshiram
Drano: Heature or Tigeralis

8. Pixie Legandary:
Gen 1: Mew
Gen 2: Celebi
Gen 3: Jirachi
Gen 4: Manaphy or Uxie/Azelf/Mesprit
Gen 5: Meloetta
Drano: Faera

9. Electric Mascot:
Gen 1: Pikachu
Gen 2: Mareep
Gen 3: Plusle and Minum
Gen 4: Pikachu
Gen 5: Emonga
Drano: Gerbolt

10. Legandary Trio:
Gen 1: Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno
Gen 2: Suicune, Raikou and Entei
Gen 3: Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza
Gen 4: Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit
Gen 5: Kobaruon, Terekion, Birijion
Drano: Fisear, Earthilla, Aeragon

Third, Hoenn.

They should take the place of Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza... those are the main legendary pokemon... but there is three of them.

You forgot the "interesting concept" pokemon...

For example, Drano Region has that Sushi thing, and Twine Region has Kurse.

Concepts:
Drano:Idk. Sushi I guess?
Twine:Pokemon Creepyblack.

Um, Sentret is not a rodent. I did some research...

Despite its name, its behavior and markings are more similar to meerkats than ferrets.

A: No it is in the mongoose family and is a mammal.

And for Zigzagoon, I'm pretty sure raccoons aren't rodents, but I could be wrong.

And you forgot the pseudo legendary:

Kanto: Dratini family
Johto: Larvitar family
Hoenn: Bagon family and beldum family
Sinnoh: Gible family
Isshu: monozu family



And slugma is a fire type, not poison.
For the Johto bug, don't forget Ledyba! It sucks, but its on there!

OH,and gen 4 fish=finneon magikarp= gen 1

It is a giant slug made of lava.... pretty gross looking aswell. And also... its just a basic guideline... it does not have to be exact... its just that regions 'gross' pokemon.
