About a year ago, I learnt the basics, and more, of Python (a programming language). I've pretty much forgot most of it now, except for stuff like print "blah" , if blah, do blah, else, do blah and the maths stuff (that+that etc), and a faint idea of input types (selection, etc), but it probably will come back after I look at the stuff I made.

Anyway, the point is, I was thinking Python is a bit like Scratch, and to all of you, I have a few questions:

1. Do you know the basics of Python?
IF YES, continue:
IF NO, badbye, don't answer the following questions:
2. Do you think Python is a good step forward into programming when you want to move on from Scratch?
3. Do you think Python is a bit like Scratch?
4. Ummah I forgot, so the question has changed into... What is 1 + 1?

What I don't get is, why are you using scratch? Honestly, it's one of the worst programming languages, no instances or anything.

I use Scratch because:
1. It's easier to use. I find Python a bit complicated.
2. It's more fun to use and there's an INTERESTING website.

1. Yes, I know a bit of Python

2. I think Python is a good step forward from Scratch.

3. Yes, there are similarities. Although Python is text-based, the syntax is pretty easy to learn and it is quite forgiving with data types. It has many of the same control constructs. It has wide acceptance and works on all types of computers.

4. 1 + 1 = 2 if we are using base 10. It is 10 if we are using base 2.

Is bumping okay or will it get you flagged? I've seen quite a few other people go "bump bump bump". Except... one thing. These questions are actually an excuse to bump. OMG!
