Well, did you know a website costs real money to run?It does, So let me introduce you to...
Super scratcher!
However, as I said, a website costs money to run, so it costs a little bit money to become 1.
If this is accepted, here are the benefits:
1. Invite people you want as freinds to your profile!(How to:1. Under where it says:Add to freind list There is a little button that says: Invite to profile Click it, and he/she will be notified.)You may also add a greeting if you want.
2. Collect badges(Example: You have 1 or more projects 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the most love it projects, You'll get a red heart and in the middle of it it says: Love it of the day!), and even 1 extra for signing up!
NOTE: If you gain a bage, it is permanently kept even if your super scratcher time is up so you can remember them, after time is up, however, You can choose to permanently keep it, temporally keep, or permanently trash them to never see them in your life again. And they CANNOT BE RECOVERED if you chose to permanently trash it.
3. Post in private forums only super scratchers can post topics and reply's in.
4. When a holiday comes(Like Halloween), you'll get a gift project(Ether from the mods or sample project team).
If you have any extra ideas, post here and it may be posted here!

Great ideas.... But Scratch is supposed to be free. Badges are supposed to be cool, but the third idea will never be done, as the forums are supposed to be open and free.

Thank you!

This sounds like a valid idea. Scratch is expanding after all. How much would these features cost exactly?

Maby 3.00$, but you have to pay 1 time every month.
However, Super scratcher super scratcher supscription should last...
1 year
OR
anything below 1 year.
Do you want me to tell you how to subscribe
OR
Delete this and replace it on the suggestion website.

I'm too new too, but I promise you you'll find TONS of great suggestions there.
Here's an example of a suggestion I put on there:
Suggestion: Scratch i phone
Description:
There should be an app called scratch, but on the i phone. So if you are going on a trip from North America to South America and forgot your computer/laptop, there will be a portable scratch! However, of course, you'll need to be connected to share projects.

Scratch is supposed to be free - the Scratch Team would never ever want to charge you for using Scratch.

This has been suggest countless times. The problem is, Apple doesn't want 3rd party development software on their devices, and It would basically turn Scratch into an app store with thousands of free apps, and Apple can't check them.

I have to disagree. Having a paid membership of sorts would totally divide the community. In response to your points/features:
1. I don't really get this. You can just add someone as a friend, and they'll get a notification. What else do you need?
2. Badges will just be more to compete for. We're trying to decrease over competition, not increase it.
3. Why would I want a private forum? It would just leave far less people to reply to topics.
4. All projects should be open for all to see, or for only the creator. Besides, people could easily share those projects with everyone else.
Scratch is designed to be totally free, including the Scratch program, and the website. No one should have to pay to get extra features.

I'm sorry to disagree here... users should never have to pay to use Scratch. That's why they use donations - if you want to show your support and help Scratch, you can always use that.

Didn't you already suggest this once?
I have a vague recollection of this exact topic

The scratch team would never implement anything where the users pay money (besides the donations page). That's one thing that makes Scratch unique, they don't want anyone to pay money just to get extra features.
