I know this might sound a bit stupid, but for a while now, i've been fantasizing about a way to program scratch projects to fit the nintendo DS's controls, and a way to put the project(s) onto a DS game pak. I thought maybe an idea on how to do this would be to have a pack with a CD-ROM with the scratch for DS program, which comes with a blank DS game and a game pak dock that connects to your computer through a USB port. I'm not really sure if any of this would work, but if it did, it would be totally AWESOME!

This has been a high requested idea, but:
1. The Scratch Team does not have the money and support to do this
2. The Scratch Team would have to re-write the whole Scratch program to run on a DS system
3. And much more, that is only a two of the issues!
This is a great idea, and I like the idea too, but I doubt that we will ever see this working out properly.

I would like to echo exactly what coka said. The Scratch Team just doesn't have the resources; so I'll repeat what I said here:

I agree with this, but you must remember these few things:
1) Scratch was volountarily made, and it was programmed in Squeak, which as far as I know is not (yet) compatible with iPod Touch/iPhone. This would cause the scratch team to program a completely different program with a completely different programming language
2) Scratch is not trying to be successful. It's main goal it to teach beginners the basics of programming, which I think it does quite well on SamSung phones, iMacs, and PCs. I do believe that and iPhone/iPod Touch app would be going "too far".
But don't let these things let you down! Keep on hoping and your dreams will come true!

It would be good if there were an iphone app, but I can see how it would be difficult.
Did you program scratch in C++?

Scratch was programmed in Squeak, which is a variant of Smalltalk, which has some relation to C++.
Chrischb mentioned a better place to discuss this - which essentially makes this a duplicate thread. I'll close it.
