Okay, so I'm almost done with the linux distro(OS) I'm making. Naturally, this is a large(stupid spell check) file ~450MB. I would like to simply have a download link to it on it's web site, but I'm trying to do all of this for free and I have yet to fine a free file hosting service for files that big. Any help?

How? Does it really have file uploading for files that big? Can it be publicly accessed?

Ok, great. Never thought to try there.

Dropbox.
It's like the same usual link-to-FTP, but get this: if you lose internet, you still have access to these files on your computer! They are saved to the site, and your computer. First sign up, 2gb. You can do enough stuff to get 2.5gb, and soon maybe 8-10. for free. You can also buy 50 and 100.

That's really all there is to say on the matterOffline
Thanks for all of the help! Mediafire has a size limit, so that won't work. I'll try google docs and dropbox after I do my homework(in about 2 hours).

Have you tried compressing it with winrar first?
That is a great idea. Except with .tar.gz instead.
