ok, so this guy i sit next to on the bus got this idea to poke holes in the back of the seat about a week ago. i didnt say anything because i dont usually talk much. (i hate my voice)
and the bus driver just called. My dad guarantees that we'll both be called to the office tommorow. and that one of us has to pay. i didnt do it, but i sort of let him use my pens because i like people to like me.
im good at getting out of trouble, but im better at getting INTO trouble.
help please

Blame the other kid, but prepare a good argument first. He may spill the beans, but keep pressuring him if not... Then he'll probably admit it.

Uh.. Just say that you didn't do it, but you HAVE to say the other kid did.. Don't act nervous or anything, or they'll think you're lying. Don't act scary-confident either, just use a strong, honest, tone of voice and say you didn't do it. It may be hard to tell them that the other kid did do it, though, but really, he did. So thats his problem. Definitely do NOT say that you didn't know where the holes came from. Because 1.) Thats lying, and 2.) Of course they know you know, so they get suspicious when you say it, anyway.
And, you DO have to tell them that you have him a pen to do it. That wasn't a very smart move to do in the first place, but if you tell them that then they'll know you're being honest, then they can decide who has to pay what. Never only tell half of the story just to make yourself look better- Trust me, it just gets you in more trouble

If it really isn't you who was doing it, then why take the blame for it? Tell your parents who the other kid is and have the other kid (or kid's parents) pay for the damages that he/she incurred. You have to speak up, no matter how much you may dislike your voice.
And unless your bus uses the buddy system, see if you can site next to someone else who doesn't poke holes in the seat.
