I can't think of anything "sad". Except for that part in the SB episode where they sell chocolate bars and they go around lying to people and they lie that they need an operation to sell the chocolate, but then the guy that they're trying to lie to is lying to THEM and gives a sad description of what he has to go through every day.

In Spongebob, when he ripped his pants, and he was with all the other "Losers on the beach" or something.. Or, in that episode with the F-U-N song, when Plankton and him become friends.. Or the one when he had to work at the Chum Bucket and leave Mr Krabs and they sang that song about the grill and the greasy spoon.. And the one when Sandy wanted to go back to Texas. Thats probably one of my favorites, and one of the saddest.
Keep in mind, I hardly ever watch cartoons, let alone sad ones.

I'm not sure.. he only nearly dies in the second (?) and I didn't see any after that... though I haven't seen anything past the 5th or 6th movie (The Wishmaker one).

There was one on Cartoon Network once where he died. It was something about...I dunno, something. It had a cave involved.
