Does anyone here row?

In my school, I do crew as a fall sport.  It's tough, but you get pretty fit doing it.  My best 500 meter time on an erg is 1:56.  I wanted to know, does anyone else do crew?  Do you scull or sweep?  What's your best 500 meter time?  Have you been in any races?

Re: Does anyone here row?

Row:  Paddling with an oar to propel a boat (duh?)
Crew:  The sport of rowing, whether sculling (two oars) or sweeping (one oar).
Erg:  Otherwise known as a rowing machine, used to row on land and record your rowing speed.

Re: Does anyone here row?

My friend used to, but he quit and started playing tennis. I think unless I was in some kind of beutiful scene, I would get bored quickly of rowing xD

I'm graduating HS this April and going to college in the Fall.

or if you replace the rows with halo guns and the boat with a halo star ship and replace the ducks with brutes.

i feel like playing halo.

Bump.

So far: no one.  Huh.  I thought it was a popular sport.

It requires a fairly large lake.

True.  But there are plenty lakes/coasts in the world.  Fortunately, I live near Long Island Sound in Connecticut.
