How Can I Make My Variables Stay?

When I put a variable I need to know how to make it stay where I put it and how to make it stay as the number in the box (Large Readout). When I save and exit after I put them how I want, they just go back when I re-open my project.

Thanks in advance.

Re: How Can I Make My Variables Stay?

Hey AlynatrillTest, this is a pretty common problem in Scratch. Here is the workaround for that problem:

This one is irritating. You work on your project, place the variables in their positions, and save.

So far so good.

You then exit your project. When you return, you will find that the variables have lost their positions and have returned to their starting place.

It's frustrating, but there's a way around this! To stop it from happening, have your variables showing when you save. It may look a bit ugly, but it works, and your project will work fine.

Hope this helps.  smile

Re: How Can I Make My Variables Stay?

Show the variables when saving the project. If the variable(s) need(s) to be hidden at the beginning, hide them when you click the green flag.
