The Linux Discussion Topic

Does anyone use Linux/BSD around here? If you do, talk about it and ask any questions you like! Lets start with a question: What's your favorite Linux distro?

Re: The Linux Discussion Topic

I had Ubuntu/Linux on a computer for about 3 days before I realized it was so impractical and I proceeded to put Windows 98 on the machine. :\

You can't possibly tell me Ubuntu is worse than Windows 98... Nothing is worse than Windows 98.

Agreed. As for fedora, I like it more then Ubuntu, which I find kinda annoying, but I had trouble with playing mp3 files, so I'm not back to Ubuntu. Also press ctrl and f2 and type gegls from outer space

Re: The Linux Discussion Topic

I have Win 7, but I have Ubuntu 8.10 in Sun VBox. I use it mostly for the preinstalled games, but I sometimes use it to relax, since it is alot simpler than Windows.

Why 8.10? 10.10 comes out in seven days.

Re: The Linux Discussion Topic

I have a single Kubuntu computer, I mess around with it, when I'm bored or want to show off to my friends.

Why 8.10? 10.10 comes out in seven days.

Because:

1: I am lazy.
2: I have a 100 MB daily bandwidth cap.
3: I am VERY lazy.
4: There is nothing wrong with a 2-year-old version.
5: I don't care if it is outdated, because I don't use it much.
6: I just installed 8.10 two weeks ago, and I don't want that work to go to waste.
7: I am ULTRA lazy.
8: I have better things to do.
9: Did I mention I am lazy?  tongue
10: My butt hurts.

Enough reasons?  smile
