Not a TBG
I just got Pokemon White! Japanese version, though.
My review; Great game so far. Smaller characters (sprites). They speak with speech bubbles instead of the classic text bar at the bottom. I can't read a thing though, so I don't care.
Battles; New animations to Pokemon in battle. They twitch and ruffle their ears and the like. There is a new weird menu design fashioning a half-open Pokeball.
Starting menu and the game itself; The Pokemon on your screen kind of screams, so have the volume low. My game cartridge wouldn't work on my DSiXL, so I had to dig out my old DS; the thing's casing is falling apart and the top screen has green-like waves ever since I dropped it down the stairs.
All in all, I'd give the Japanese game 3.5 stars because I can't read most of it.

Is the story different?
I can't read it. All I can tell you is that you now have a brother and a sister.
I can't be sure though.

Heh, anyway, cool. I believe I saw Pokemon White while I was looking for a video game. Well, it was some pokemon game in a silver-y box. I got Scribblenauts instead, though
(I wouldn't get a pokemon game, anyway. I don't know anything about pokemon, and I'd probably end up giving it to my little sister. And, I was using my own money)

Brother and Sister?
Cheren, the girl with short black hair is your childhood friend, same as the Blonde, Belle.
The game's story features is you having to stop Team Plasma, a team who, unlike previous teams, want to do good and intend to stop what they perceive the slavery of Pokémon caused by trainers.
I have a [three letter word] of it on my computer.

DOHOHOHOHO Interesting story. But I'm still not gonna buy it because all the pokemon are bad. I hope pokemon fades into obscurity. [/OPINION]
