hmm -12three- hmm

It was a joke. I know it was bad, but everyone makes mistakes. And the beatles ROCK!

And I woulden't exactly say John Lennon is a good role model...

Re: There, Beneath The Blue, Suburban Skies

@rufflebee and 12three,
John Lennon didn't say they were more popular than Jesus. The deal was, if you google 'The Beatles', it would get more results then if you googled 'Jesus'. It was on my local news earlier this year.

No, he said that if reference to the number of Christians in the world at that time, and the number of people who listened to their music. Recall that they didn't have Google (or even PC's for that matter) in the 60's-70's.  tongue

Re: There, Beneath The Blue, Suburban Skies

I liked all the songs in across the universe and the singers too, but when the beatles sing them, it's just bad. imo

Well, they were drug-addicts.  hmm

And he was naked on the cover of an album.

And he was in an R movie about himself.

And maybe I should just stop talking.

"Jesus" has 1 million more results.

Yeah, but you're just focussing on the bad things he did

I didn't say he was a bad person, I was purposely focusing on just the bad stuff.

Exactly. He's done good things, too. If one were to focus themself on the positive things he did, then John Lennon could be a good role model.

I portrayed him as a good role model in a report I had to write for a class last year.
He was a protester against the Vietnam War, was against violence, and he wrote awesome songs. (That was pretty much all I had to support it, though.  tongue )

Yeah, I know, he'd be a great role model for a music-maker, but for a regular person... Nah. Drugaddicts, he wasn't anti-drugs, but pro-drugs. I'm a huge John Lennon fan, but I'm pretty messed up  tongue
