Are there any songs or movies that make you choke up or even cry when your listening to or watching them?
I've never cried to a movie or song, but I've choked up:
Adagio for Peleliu, from The Pacific, HBO miniseries. It's one of the saddest thing I've ever heard.
The Passion of the Christ. You don't have to be a Christian to feel really sad while watching it.
movie or song. Not a real life incident.

My Humanities teacher faked a note saying that my school had been sold and that girls had to wear [strict dress code, blahblahblah], boys had to wear this, ETC ETC. And if you didn't follow the rules you would get fined. My friend instantaneously knew they were fake, so I didn't cry. But others were sobbing.

Well, when I heard about the 14 year old rule, I kinda cried... and facepalmed and facedesked too. My friend had it worst. He (not so) briefly contemplated suicide.

That's an extremely drastic option to consider. I hope your friend talks to a trusted adult about these dangerous impulses...it sounds like he/she might need some help.
I can understand that the change in eligibility rules has been upsetting to many people who had hopes of running for a moderator position. However, time will solve this issue - it just requires patience

Yeah- this fourteen year old rule is NOT going to make a lot of people happy.]
Anyway, the Passion of Christ was an extremely powerful movie.

Er.. Elf makes me cry. I think I got somewhat emotional when I first watched The Blind Side (I don't remember much, though, because I was watching it at one in the morning at a party.)
As for songs that make me cry: you'd laugh at them if I told you. So, meh.
Eh, whatever, I'll say a few. Strawberry Fields Forever (it doesn't exactly make me cry, but I kind of tear up. Kiiind of.) and In My Life by the Beatles, Daniel by Elton John, and Who Will I Be by Demi Lovato (LOL. This sounds ridiculous. But, we sang it at my fifth grade graduation. Very emotional time for me.) Also, Mad World by whoever sings that.

Well, he says he contemplated suicide. This guy is infamous for telling lies(such as the great Dress up Day incident), so I don't think he was being serious. He probably wanted to leave scratch, and exaggerated it a little bit... but on topic. One of the movies that made me cry was Crash. The part where the guy accidently shot the little girl... but thankfully his wife decided to buy blanks instead of real bullets. I was like:
Me:OMG!!!! *cries*
Guy on screen:Hey, these are blanks!
Me:YAY!!!! *rave dance*

Hmmmn.
Think, think.
Um, the first part of Up. And... um, most of my mom's music she has on her i-pod:
"He took me by my ankles, and dragged me to the river where he slowly let me drown, my love's got concrete feet, but you just smash it to the ground"
Now that's sad

OHHH! I love that! It's so sad though. I always look at myself in that position, and it feels horrible.

Blind side. I didn't cry, but it was very emotional.
Also, where the wild things are and toy story 3, made me sad. I didn't cry, but for 'where the wild things are', I thought about life differently after I saw it. Up is pretty sad too.
Christmas Shoes, makes me choke up every time. So sad and happy at the same time.
Some songs have depressing lyrics, but have never made me cry or choke up, like Bohemian Rhaspody.

The book (I believe it was called) A Dog's Life.
The last statement made was really touching.

Gary Jules sings Mad World. sohk's (sp. sokh?) project made me tear up.
So did the blind side.
