Columbus Day only applies to America...
But then again, most Scratchers live there, so maybe.

What I mean is... Should Scratch celebrate Christopher Columbus and the death and destruction he caused?

What? Columbus is history. And there is a national holiday to celebrate him. So we should celebrate it, regardless of what (you think) he did.

Sure. However... he did cause a lot of death and destruction.

I you mean disease, that couldn't be helped. It would have happened eventually.
It it wasn't just Columbus that was a jerk to the Native Americans.

There's a popular history book thing around here called "Horrible Histories". In the book on the USA they have a whole chapter about him and what he did. It's shocking... but who knows, it could have been exaggerated (I doubt it xP).

Here's the project.
P.S. I made another version of this without the gobo.
P.P.S. Rawr! I forgot the dimensions. I'll leave the others here, though.
Here's the one with the right dimensions:

I'm horrible with Photoshop, so how about I give an idea, and someone else creates it for me, then we can both have credit:
For Halloween:
Make the word "Scratch" red, have the Scratch Cat next to it with an evil grin, and change "imagine • program • share" to "imagine • program • SCARE!"
For the release of Ubuntu 7.10:
Make "Scratch" brown, and, well, maybe you can come up with something.
Scratch's birthday (release date):
Put the Scratch Cat next to the logo with a cake in his/her hands.

Do our logos have to start out with the "real" logo or can they be made from scratch (haha) as long as they are the correct dimensions and actually say "Scratch?" Some of the older ones look like they were made from scratch. Is that still OK?
dancingqueen's Mexican Independence Day Logo is an example of what I mean:
