Remote Sensor Connections and TI83 calculator
The TI83 is a programmable calculator which has quite an advanced programming language and a port which can be used to connect it to a computer. The programming language contains commands to send information to and get information from the computer. Does anybody know if I could use Scratch's Remote Sensor Connections to connect to it?

While you can connect the calculator to a port on the computer, Scratch sensor connections specifically operate on port 42001. You'd need an intermediary program to run on the computer that takes data sent from the calculator and feeds it into Scratch's port.
Out of curiosity, do you know what programming language the calculator runs? I'm supposed to get a graphing calculator pretty soon and it would be cool if it could run BASIC or something.

It runs TI BASIC.

Cool. I never knew what it was called. I made space invaders on it. It keeps me amused in maths lessons.

I use the TI84 Plus and i once tried to program an app in it -- with no success. besides, they take up so much valuable space in the calculator...
