see, I had a terrible cold about a week ago, and I gave it to my brother (
), and now I have it again, could this possibly mean that the virus I have is evolving faster than regular?
my current symptoms make it seem like mono, but we're still not sure if it really is mono

Maybe you caught something else similar to your previous infection? I think a doctor would be able to tell for sure if your sickness returned or of it's something else.

That sucks
Viruses don't evolve. Cold viruses may mutate their RNA to fool immunities.
My friend was thought to have mono a month ago, but it turned out he didn't

I'm extremely sure it is a returning sickness, and since my brother passed the sickness onto me, he got blood tests to to see if it was mono, now we just have to wait a few days

no, you don't understand, I was able to deal with the cold the first time I had it, because it was only a bad cold, now it seems more like mono...

I doubt it evolved that quickly.
If you were taking medication, it could have temporarily hid the symptoms...

You probably didnt fully immunize, you just beat it off, for now.
I was fully immunized though, my brother was sick with the same sickness, didn't get it from him for about a week, and now it's back, and worse

My guess is that it is two different strains of cold. There are millions of different ones. You probably caught the first, and that weakened your immune system enough for you to catch another. But I am not a doctor, so we can't be sure.
I hope you get better. (I am surprised I am the first one to say that

Uh, you're incorrect. Viruses do evolve. Where did you hear that they don't?

Biology. Viruses mutate if their RNA alters, but they don't evolve, because technically they aren't alive, and RNA mutations are instantaneous and not gradual.
