Cnet Downloads?

I saw a free download for Sony Vegas Movie Studio 10 Platinum Edition there. I want to believe that it's completely legal to download it, but I know it probably isn't.  sad

Why does Cnet allow these pirated copies of software on their site? This software was even ADVERTISED. Why isn't Cnet in trouble with the law?

Any insight Scratchers? I couldn't find anything on Google, so I thought I'd ask the Scratch community.

Having used After Effects and other software trials, it's probably that whole deal where it's completely legal to download it, but you need a code to make it work.

Re: Cnet Downloads?

I don't think there are pirated copies on CNET. Most advertisers use CNET as a way to help advertise their products out there on the market (see here); after all, what better way to say your product is superior by having it peer reviewed?  smile

It's funny that half of the posts I make on the Scratch Forums are out of ignorance. XD
