Check out NeilBen's project entitled Concerts and More. After you are done, check out the keyboard and the drums. They really work. He spent 3 hours putting this together and is really proud of it. Please leave him a comment. His birthday is tomorrow and it would mean a lot to him.

He got up very early today to "see" if anyone looked at his project. Boy is he excited. He said that the he going to remix it this morning but isn't sure how to do some of the the things that he wants to the project.
Thank you VERY much for all of the comments on his page. You don't know how much it means to him.
Thanks again,

I don't know (probably 8) but I didn't wanna miss what was "in" I guesss you could say. If he really is 8, if he continues with Scratch he will get well known

Well you're good too, especially because you've been here 2 days! And I left some tags on his project.

I just heard about this site yesterday. What a great idea. I am glad to see that young kids are getting involved in programming. I wish that they had something like this when I was a kid. I can't wait to see how these kids progress as they learn new skills. Keep up the good work!

As Neilben's mother, I am really glad to see that he has taken interest in developing, rather than just playing video games. For Christmas he received Multimedia Fusion Developer and has had fun developing games there as well. He told me yesterday that he wants to become a "game developer" when he grows up. Pretty cool. Thanks again to everyone for your support.

its good that he started at early age. soon he will be able to probably be able to do flash if he sticks with scratch for a little bit
(flash is what most real life game developers use when they are working on small games)

This is so lovely to hear
It's great that you are encouraging him to explore game design and programming. If your son sticks with it, I am sure he will be quite prepared to pursue a career in game design.
There are many universities that now offer degrees for game design. To help him stay inspired, encourage him to try new things and explore new ideas and ask him what he likes and dislike about games. This will help him develop a vocabulary and get thinking critically about games. There are so many creative things that can be done with Scratch!
