My best advice would be to take no advice. Everyone is different and there is no foolproof advice you can give to any specific situation.

My second bit of advice would be to search on a place better suited to such inquiries if you're deadset on getting advice.

So my advice... well, don't do anything rash. That's about all I can say, because there's no easy solution that works for every relationship puzzle.

Nah, just kidding. Hats do seem to help. Just not dorky ones like that. Baseball caps. And hats aren't allowed in most schools anyway. That's why I take advantage of my outside travel time between classes

Hey, some of us have social lives!  Anyway, my advice:  Wait.  Don't date a girl because you like her and you're only 12.  Dating is actually really dumb, because 95% of the time, it's just for status and you'll probably only make a fool of yourself.  You can tell her you like her, but really, the best thing is to let it fly.  Being friends is a whole lot easier than being girl/boyfriends.  When you're older, maybe you should start dating, but I would wait, definitely.

Why do you date someone? To learn more about them and see if you think you might get married to them someday. No offense, but it's highly improbable that you will get married to this girl someday.

EDIT: For some real advise, don't date at 12. It's most of the time for status and more than 90% of couples break up for another girl/boy. It's dumb and you can get... Stuff...

Sadly I go to a school where if you say something like that without properly explaining and making sure people don't think you are what they will call you if you don't you are called gay.

O____O all you boys don''t get it! girls like boys that don't care about dating. don't ever mention it, pretend you hardly know what dating is! just act like a nice little boy, who has a friend, that just-so-happens to be a girl. then she'll fall for you. 

but seriously, like steppenwulf said, don't date at 12. if you do you will be a laughing stalk of the school, and the girl will hate you. i'm 12 too, and i would NEVER confess to the boy i like. if i were you, i'd wait until 8th grade. just be friends until then, and she will love you. then you can start dating. just don't date now, or else you might not have any more friends...especially girl ones.
