Classic is basically free-build. You get all the blocks, you click once to break a block, and on multiplayer, there are building commands. However, there are no NPCs, no crafting, there aren't certain blocks, so there is no real reason to do anything except for fun.

Also, with classic's water system, build all the way to the top in a corner, and put down active water there, and the whole map will flood! :D
