It has the best sound chip of it's generation and was the primary games machine then too.
It cannot run Crysis, but it's still awesome nevertheless.

It looks really boxy and unappealing
How much did you pay for it?

Yes, I see what you mean.
It's obsolete

Lezze, excluding shipping about 25 dollars. All computers were beige and boxy, who cares what it looks like really? Just as long as the thing works, I'm good. Also the games are great on the thing.

How much did you pay for it?Did you expect the game systems that were made a long time ago to look like a wii or ds?
Oh, I thought was a really old computer.
Yeah, I wouldn't brag about this at school... yeah...

It IS a computer.
What do you think that is on the monitor? HALO 3? No, it's the BASIC programming language!

Who cares, it's the only thing that can entirely accurately play these games. Even emulation has some issues. Obsolete is a lie.

C64 demoscene is pretty cool from what I've seen (no really it's amazing what some people have done on such a limited system, especially one first released in 1982).
Don't know about any of the games though. I personally don't care much about authenticity, so I'd probably just emulate any C64 software if I ever felt the need to (haven't felt the need to ever as of now).

The thing looks like a piece of crud, and I wouldn't be paying higher than $20 for a system you're not even sure is stable enough to play Crysis.

Congradulations on winning a stone age computer
Don't play on it, save it for future generations of your kids so they can make a fortune.

Crysis was a joke, this thing doesn't even run WINDOWS. The games and sound are amazing though. Here, listen to THIS.
