i think somepeople expected more praise and are maybe slightly dissapointed with the amount of attention they get. Many of these people have now seen that by claiming to leave they can get to the front page.

Yes, It's a sad fact that claiming to quit gets you the attention a "real" project can't get. There are so many projects being uploaded every minute of every day, so good projects can get lost. I'm not sure how the "I'm quiting" projects get noticed more than actual useful projects.

I wish that making a quitting project was not allowed. There is no point! If you ARE gonna leave, you don't have to make a project about it. Just leave. I won't leave for quite some time though!

most people who have made a quitting project that i have seen have made several more recent projects so their obviously not actually leaving anyway. maybe the words quit and leave should not be allowed in project names.

People are allowed to make any projects they want as long as they follow the Terms of Use.

Sadly, a portion of the "i quit" projects are publicity stunts. People try to get popular by using someone's feelings.
