I became vegetarian a week after my birthday, a few months ago. At first, I only ate fish, then I cut meat out entirely. In the beginning, I kept accidentally eating meat, but after a while I learned to be more careful. I'm starting to miss meat a lot, especially sushi, which used to be my favorite food... but I don't want to start eating meat again, because I don't think it's very nice for people to kill animals, even if we are omnivores.
Did anyone experience this:
After becoming a vegetarian, I'm not as hungry anymore... unless I'm eat something really good, I can't have very much of it. In fact, It's harder for me to eat even half the amount of food I used to be able to eat. Now, after I eat a little bit of food, I start feeling sick and can't finish it, I don't even feel full, I just can't finish it. Is this normal? I don't think it is... maybe it's really nothing... did this happen to anyone?

No. I eat a balanced day. Some meat, same amount of veggie or fruit.
Did you know that chickens are T-rex's closest relatives? T-rex must've tasted like chicken.

If you don't have a source of iron, you won't really grow. And it's not vegetables that give you that, it's meat.

I'm more of a carnivore than an omnivore
Anyway, not eating any meat at all? I don't think fish is included in that because you need a source of protein

Fish is not meat. But Beaver is.

Yeah, I heard about that. Some north american tribe converted to a religion where they couldn't eat meat on Sundays, but they were starving, so the government changed that. It was on Manswers :D

Okay, look, I get my protein, meat has protein, but so does other stuff... and also, fish is meat, so I can't eat it. Meat is any type of flesh(Uggh...)
I know vegetables don't give you protein and stuff... I hate most vegetables...(I didn't become vegetarian for my health, I don't even think becoming a vegetarian is that healthy... I did it because I felt bad for animals.)

You know being a vegetarian doesn't stop the animals death. Just a heads up.

I highly advise you to stop- my dad was a vegan for about a year, but his nutritionist (the same one that Lance Armstrong goes too
) said that it was killing him because he wasn't getting enough protein. You need to eat meat if you want to survive.

I'm not a vegetarian. It's dangerous to your health - you'll waste away until your a blob...
Okay, I am supporting you, go for what you believe. I just find it a little odd. The cow's already dead when you buy it in Asda, you're not preventing its death, and wouldn't you rather put the meat to good use and not let it waste on a shop shelf?
Just my opinion

No.

Being vegetarian doesn't stop animal deaths, but the more people that eat meat, the more animals need to get killed. If fewer people eat meat, fewer animals will need to be killed for food, so that they could be sold in supermarkets. Even if I'm just one person and I'm not making that much of a difference, at least I'll know that I don't support the killing of animals. Also, I think people aren't getting that vegetarians still get protein if they eat certain foods. People who don't have meat or foods with protein are going to be unhealthy, but beans, tofu, eggs, and stuff like that have protein

By the way you are describing it, you're a vegan.
Vegetarians eat fish (I know I would if it was my favorite food) and they also eat eggs to get protein. I think the general rule is one serving of either a day to stay healthy.

Without meat I would be like a flashlight without batteries

Funny.
I have been a "Vegan" for my whole life (12 years)
It is not as bad as it seems if you are used to it.
I don't even eat dairy or fish.
Now that is hard. Can you imagine?
Scratcher till I take a shower.

I don't wan't to offend anyone, but, I can't live without meat. 'nuff said.

Being a vegetarian is a healthy lifestyle, because it partly cleanses your body. However, not eating any kind of flesh is bad. Not eating meat is okay, but you should at least eat meat to get iron and proteins, and not to forget, omega 3.
You said you were doing it because you don't like animals being killed, and I'm not trying to discourage you, but even if you stop eating meat, animals will still be killed. It doesn't matter if less animals are killed, because over-hunting, clothing, and land reclamation make up for that by huge amounts.

I thought I couldn't live without meat too, I always said, " I'll be a vegetarian when I grow up'
because I didn't want to give up meat. Once you stop eating meat, it's not really that hard. It's hard at first because you miss meat, but then it gets easier...(I still miss meat though)
By the way, vegetarians don't eat fish. Fish is meat. Pescetarians eat fish only and no other meat. Vegans eat no meat at all, or eggs, cheese, milk, and other dairy products. I'm a vegetarian...
Also, I know being a vegan would be really hard... That means I wouldn't be able to have most chocolates, cakes, pies, desserts, pizzas, many different yummy things. I'm trying to work up to being vegan, because eggs are baby chickens that never came to life, and because humans milk cows, they decrease their lives by like 6 years or something(I think.)

If I start eating meat again, my parents will have to buy extra meat, which means supermarkets selling the meat will get more money. The more people that buy meat, the more animals that have to be killed. If a small part of our population stops eating meat, then stores that sell meat would be losing money, because they have too much extra meat that isn't getting sold, so they will have to reduce the amount of meat that they buy from farms, and places like that, which means less will be killed.
Even if I'm just one person and if I'm not going to make much of a difference, I'm happy feeling that I don't support animals being killed.
It's not very nice to kill animals...

There is nothing wrong with it technically. If everyone was a vegetarian we would be to outnumbered to live.
And about saving animals cause your parents buy extra meat, what is that? 0.00001 percent of the world?
