@Blade: It's not a disease (disease's are contagious), it's a mental disorder, and it comes in a million different levels of seriousness. Most commonly it makes it harder for kids (and adults) to focus, stand still, and it can make people more easily emotional, and want to fill there heads with random knowledge on one topic (hence my nerdy-ness about World War Two). But the most common thing is the diagnosed person speaking there mind, and talking endlessly when no one's interested.I do... um... almost all those things.

So do I

I do that too! Only with Greek Myths. And Harry Potter. And Percy Jackson & the Olympians, which ties into the first thing. And some RPGs. *Smacks self* Stop rambling, Hayley, you stupid.

I've never seen anyone make fun of or say anything mean about people with autism... I know someone with autism and he doesn't show any of those symptoms.

well then he has overcame the symptoms or it was really mild. If you met me, you would never think I had autism. but I do.

Oh, cool! My brother has something similar to that, or a certain type of it. And I'm sure that I might have it too!

There was this autistic guy at my school in primary about 3 years ago and tones of people use to rip on him.
Usually they're like pampered, protected kids.

I was following her initial emotion, in case you didn't realize.
"I just killed someone
"
"Oh my god, me too let's be murderer buddies"
But this actually isn't valid here because having autism isn't bad nor your fault. Oh well, I don't really feel like making a more proper one as Caleb's gone and won't be reading it

Yeah but he's obviously getting along with it just fine. It can be a gift. Or it can be a disability.

Maybe this will help:

Militarydudes, you're not nerdy. I love your new sig about market garden. My grandad fought in the battle of arnhem and was taken prisoner (and escaped).
Anyways, back on topic. One of my friend has autism. She's a nice person, and I know what you mean about not being able to meet your eyes. I get embarrassed because when she looks at you it looks like she's looking at someone else and occasionally I don't respond to her (I think she's talking to someone else).
Don't mock people with autism. They're really nice people!!

you like it? Did you get one of those gifts along with it? I've got a photographic memory but I'm not autistic (though I don't have a lot friends and I am obsessed with computers. I guess I'm just a nerd.)
