think about all those poor music artists out there who want toupload there music to scratch in high detail without lots of recording equipment. Imagine a scratch product similiar to a guitar hero guitar, with a usb port at the end. you just plug the guitar into your computer and click (record guitar) on scratch. then you play your song on the little guitar and each note that you play is recorded into the computer. then you can play back your song on the computer in high quality! what do you think? ( if you use the idea please give me credit, and, though you dont have to, if you use my idea, it would be great if I could have one of the guitars for free)

Uploading music is easy (if you have a mic). Either record, send to iTunes, and convert, or record, go to a free program that converts it for you, and wait for them to do that, then put the .mp3 or .wav in your project!

Well, its a lot easier to buy a mic than buying a full guitar to hook up into a USB. Also all musicians who are taking playing that seriously want to show thier music to big record owners to get signed. Im not sure how many people would actually be interested in showing off there guitar skills in Scratch. Also you shouldnt get to ambitious for Scratch. Everything costs money, and with all of these posts about toys to hook unto your computer Im thinking people forgot about that.

no, i mean, because without specialized eiquipment, it will be bad detail and there will be lost of background noise. im saying the guitar wont actually make any noise, but when you play a note, it will be filed into the comuter and it will play back the notes you were playing. see what im saying?

I don't think you can get the same tunes you'd play in a guitar with 6 strings and 24 frets, on a plastic guitar with 5 buttons.
And that's why there are many programs such as FruityLoops, or TuxGuitar. To record your own music without the need of the instrument itself.
