Minecraft base competition

Who can build the most epic base. Run by katana098 (juststickman).

Basically, you must try and build the best base. Any form, castle, city, single ladder pillar into the sky, whatever.

You will be judged on the following things:
1. Defenses
Let's pretend that skeletons, creepers, spiders, zombies and giant slimes just spawned outside your base and are trying to get to you. How well defended are you? You'll get a score out of 25 for this.

2. Facilities
Yeah... a 2x2x2 obsidian box isn't exactly what I call a good base. So really, points for what you have. Score out of 10. Some examples include...
-swimming pool
-farm
-trash dump
-cobblestone generator
-storage area
etc. Just scored on how good they are, if you had a single, awesome farm, that's good enough.

3. Aesthetic value
How nice does it look? Points out of 10.

4. Just how plain awesome it is
out of 5.

So then you get a score out of 50...


We will all be judging, and discussing what the score should be. You may do this on any difficulty.

Time starts now, and ends saturday next week. MUST use a new map  smile  GO!

Post either a save file, or many, many screenshots.

Well, right now, my fort isn't the best. It's small, dug into the ground, but it's fortified (door, walls roof etc.), has two floors, and a mining area where I found treasures. I used to have a lot and I was planning to build a big garden and barn, but then I got lost during mining and had to respawn.

But it shall improve!

I'm waiting for night to be over to start on my treehouse. IT BE HUGE!
I'll make a bridge to get to other trees(rooms) and it will be made out of natural material, like flowers and dirt. And on the tops of trees.  big_smile

Alpha has so much more... Lava, water, lighting, crafting, signs, fences etc.

This is the plan:

My base is a 3x3 of 11x4x11 rooms (x,y,z) with 2 block corridors in between. Above is a massive rec-room octahedron, 39 blocks wide. Around this is a wall, cobble, water, cobble, and a moat.

So far I have 4 rooms, staircase, and the start of the octahedron.

can we spawn or basically make a base made out of materials like obsidian or diamond blocks, or another way I could put it is do we have to mine all the materials or is this just a building contest?

I'll take part if I can do this

BTW I don't have hacks, I use a special glitch on multiplayer where you multiply stuff

Close to spawn
Near a cave with Coal and IRON
Lots of trees
Close to water.  big_smile
