Sailing ship combat!

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/smandoli/1291967

Sailing is better than ever with Cannonball Bay.  You command a small red boat with one cannon that can shoot either left or right.  You must take out the big cannon guarding the center of the bay.  It may help to sink the blue galley first.  It takes 5-6 cannon hits to bring down either one.

The boat is an improvement on Paddle2See's classic design.  All its variables are local, so you could have multiple boats.  Leeway drift is now a factor in sailing (handled via a companion sprite).  Leeway is based on hull presentation to the wind, so moving at a right angle to the wind causes the biggest drift.  Right now it takes a strong wind for drift to be noticeable.

Speaking of the wind, you'll discover it's harder to succeed if the wind conditions are weak or shifty.

If you're still getting used to the game and you're tired of being sunk, you can make things simple -- just click on the blue boat, and it will sink.

The biggest needed improvements (from a user's point of view):
* Red boat should show whether its cannon is set for right or left.
Right now you have to remember, or guess, or use a shot to find out.
* Blue boat moves in a clunky way.  Could be smarter, too.

Re: Sailing ship combat!

Red boat now shows whether its cannon is set for right or left.  Everything set a bit easier for the Red boat, too.
