Hi, Kyle!
It's better to post a topic about you coming, but still, great for finding the Forums! You can find a TON of guides here-like the one in my signature. Need any help? Contact the Scratch Team or post in All About Scratch or Troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting is for bugs you find on the Website or the Scratch Editor. All About Scratch is for asking how to do things, like make a signature.

You might want to update that - the Inspiration and More forum is archived now; the same name is used to cover a forum section.

I won't go editing someone else's tip.  wink  But I'll go put a note mentioning the change...  smile

Re: ITopic: Proper Forum Etiquette - what and what not to do in the forums

Here are my tips:

Don't post a topic in multiple forums even if it fits.

Don't feel bad or get angry if your topic is moved or closed.

It is usually better to just report a rude, inappropriate, or spam post than to lecture its poster because...
1) If you report, the mods can get to it faster.
2) Posting will make the thread go to the top and more people will see it.
3) Lecturing may embarrass or anger the poster.
4) Many spammers are commercial spammers and won't go back to look for posts anyway. See Lightnin's topic about spam.
5) Lots of people don't like it when we normal folks act like mods.

I have a forum etiquette tip. For posts like that, you should hit the report button and type in spam. Make examples of them.

If you need help, I suggest going to the troubleshooting forum. I don't use a mic, so I don't know how to help you, but you probably need to make sure it works before trying to use it in Scratch

You just posted.  tongue  A post is a message that a user can place on the forums. This message I have here is a post, and your message from earlier is a post also.  smile

A topic is a sort of post, but other posts can be placed 'on' it. Forums (eg. New Scratch Members) contain topics. An example of a topic is this one that we're posting in (Proper Forum Etiquette).

An ITopic is a special topic that is listed in an index. The index contains helpful and good topics that should be easy to see. There are multiple ITopic indexes - this forum and some others each use the ITopic system. ITopics are marked as an ITopic in their title (look at this topic's title).

Eh, I gave way more information that you asked for. I just felt like putting a lot of stuff into my post. ^_^
