Can we have something which allows us to hide certain scripts from view (if downloaded), like if you make a quiz game and want to block the answers. Or maybe a little black thingy that can only be removed by the author. You could use it to block out the answers but nothing else.

The point of Scratch is to learn from other people's programming. That means that they'll never add this. Sorry.

Say what?
You can convert your projects to .exe files with certain programs like Scratch2Exe, or you can use BY0B's compiler. (I think it works, not sure.) It basically stitches all your scripts together into one singular program where people can't edit it.

Are you saying that making the Scratch project into an application would hide the scripts? Well, it doesn't those compilers just make an application bundle type thing. It still contains the project. So if you really wanted to look at the coding, you could.

Yes. Like I said, it makes an application bundle. It's got a modified version of BYOB, BYOB.image, and the project, all hidden under an application icon.

Yeah, ScratchReallyRocks got it right. There is still the original project - just opening it in Scratch rather than another .exe will expose the code.
