I want some sites that offer FREE chatroom hosting. No webcams or microphones, just text ones. I know there is webchat.freenode.net, but when I used it to start a chatroom for me and my friends, it was too "hard" for them. What's a chat room site, which you can access a chatroom without having to enter so much information; just get to it by a URL.

Any sites that offer that?

You can look them up on Google, though
The best by far is Palringo, but you have to download something for it

The previous thread for freenode got closed because of undermodding and certain trolls *coughcough*.

I don't know of any others though.

Oh yeah, and Palringo is the safest. Once someone's banned or silenced, it's permanent unless they are unbanned/unsilenced, and mods are on all the time. In fact, 3 of the 7 people constantly on are mods or admins
