Scratch has hit many dark times. Right now, is the darkest. Trolls, negativity, unjust ruling by our superiors. We live in a world of darkness.

But there is hope for scratch, the 1st Amendment will return to these forums, Opinions will be heard! Fellow Scratchers; it is time for reformation! A new leader, a new hope, a new Scratch. It is within reach, but we need one who is courageous enough to go through with it, a fresh face!

I am this change, fellow scratchers.

For you see, it is always darkest before the morning, the sunrise of a new tomorrow. A tomorrow where users can post without fear of being insulted, having their views ripped apart and dreams crushed. You, the scratchers deserve better, and I will help you to achieve this change.

Vote for me scratchers, and I will work my hardest to make the scratch forums the panacea of hope and friendship that we all know it has the potential to be.

There is rather quite a lot of conflict going on here, and the official announcement has not even started yet! sad

The moderator position is one that requires responsibility and dedication; understandably, as voters, we want to choose who we feel is the best for the position, and we can end up becoming doubtful about the credibility of Scratchers who intend to run for moderator.

However, this does not excuse us from breaking the Terms of Use of the Scratch website and attacking other Scratchers. Remember, the Terms of Use calls for us to be respectful and to keep the site friendly - there are respectful ways to bring out issues you may have with those who intend to run for moderator.

Now, to clear up some issues:
As for the issue of the join date: recall that the Scratch Team and moderators choose the candidates - it is possible for the Scratch Team to simply look up the join date on their database.

To tell the truth, it's rather hard to know how you'd react to most situations because you only have 15 posts. Perhaps you should post more?

Personally, I think you you have a great speech (and banner), but, I don't know you that well, you may have the best intentions for scratch, or you may just be making a pretty speech to become a moderator (not saying you are making a pretty speech to be a moderator, just saying it's a possibility)

Personally, I think you should be more active in the community, let people get to know you, and perhaps sometime in the future you would make an excellent moderator

I'm using murder as an example- I'm saying if you've done something wrong, it's good to be ashamed and to think about it.

Simply speaking, I mean that we should not be ashamed of who we are because of that other people think about us. Shame is something that should be expected to come with bad deeds, but not from the personality within us all.
